Tempo Singers is a mixed community choir based in Cranbrook, Kent. Its purpose is to make singing fun, and the ability to read music is not required. We sing a wide range of songs; pop, folk, African, gospel, jazz, showtime, indeed anything that takes our fancy. The choir is directed by Michael Withers who took over the mantle from Rebecca Lodge in June 2019. Kerne Clemence provides piano accompaniment.

The choir was founded in 2007 under the name of Tido, changing to Tempo in 2016.  Rehearsals were switched to Zoom from May 2020 until July 2021, but have been held in person since September 2021, with a simultaneous Zoom broadcast for those unable to attend until July 2023.
